Lynn McDonald | Regional Manager, Montreal, EVOL

Throughout her career, Ms. Lynn McDonald has assisted a number of companies from different sectors in their strategic planning, financing, and governance. She has worked mainly in the investment industry, notably as vice president of private placements, at the Caisse de dépôt et placement du Québec. During this period, she was a member of the Board of directors of some fifteen companies in Canada, the United States, and Europe. From 2014 to 2017, Ms. McDonald was a member of the Business Takeovers, Major Investments, and Equity Investments Committee of Capital régional et coopératif Desjardins, an investment fund with assets of approximately $ 2 billion. She holds a bachelor’s degree in finance from the University of Sherbrooke, an MBA from the University of Western Ontario, and the CFA and ICD.D designations. 

 

Omar Momtaz | Innovations Commercialization Director, PME MTL

Omar Momtaz is a Program Director, with a Project Management background and more than 15 years of international experience in technology and information management. He has planned, led, and delivered high-value programs aiming at improving human and financial performance through innovation and technology adoption.

Intrapreneur and entrepreneur, he is a positive change facilitator, driven by a passion for performance and excellence in service delivery. His achievements include various projects ranging from B2B marketing of ICT services, Smart Cities, national ICT assessment and transformation programs.

 

Julie Tzeng | Strategic Advisor, Riffle Ventures | Former YES Client, Winner of ELLEvate Pre-Accelerator Program Year 1

Julie Tzeng believes that innovative frontier tech solutions with impact and economic growth in lockstep are the most exciting opportunities to accelerate global positive change. She is dedicated to supporting these innovations as an investor, operator, and advisor.

Julie is a recent MBA graduate from NYU Stern with a specialization in Finance and Sustainable Business and Innovation. During her MBA, she gained VC experience while working for Plum Alley, investing in climate solutions with a diversity lens. She was also a student investor for the NYU Impact Investment Fund and a semi finalist for the Turner MIINT Impact Investing competition. As the Executive VP of the PE/VC club and the Entrepreneurship Startup Association, Julie hosted 24+ events, mentored 60+ students, and advised multiple startups.

Prior to Stern, Julie founded Arshae, a circular footwear manufacturing startup, and Tote, an AI-driven retail startup. Her career started as a product developer and designer for seven years at carbon-neutral global retailer, Aldo Group, and fashion tech unicorn, Techstyle Fashion Group.
