This workshop outlines key concepts and considerations for emerging artists interested in establishing sales prices for their artistic productions. You’ll develop an understanding of things like commission prices, pricing artwork that has already been completed, and the differences between selling independently and selling through a retailer (eg. gallery or agent).

Building your portfolio and pricing your pieces appropriately will help you keep doing the thing you love, and hopefully, get paid for it!

About the speaker:

After graduating as an engineer in Peru at the age of 21, Gonzalo Coloma literally “ran away with the circus”. Having performed with Cirque du Soleil, Disney World, and even at the Olympics, Gonzalo decided to jump to the entrepreneurial side of things, founding two different circus companies. He successfully managed to take them on tour to over 20 countries.  

Searching for new challenges, Gonzalo completed an MBA at HEC Montreal. Specializing in finance and small business growth, he realized he wanted to put his experience into helping other people achieve their vision.   

Gonzalo Coloma joined Furniture Atelier after working as a consultant helping startups structure their business models and put in place growth plans to help them improve their finances and search for financing. In his free time, Gonzalo enjoys playing sports, brewing beer, reading and giving back to the arts community by sitting on the board of directors of different organizations.
