About the speaker: Tommy Schnurmacher was only a teenager when he spent a week as a babysitter for John Lennon and Yoko Ono. An award-winning broadcaster, he has been a gossip columnist, film critic, essayist, humorist, journalist, and radio talk show host in Montreal. He is the author of several books including Are We on Yet? Insider Secrets on How to be Interviewed (and other essential media skills). His latest book is a post-Holocaust memoir, Makeup Tips from Auschwitz. How Vanity Saved My Mother’s Life. He has a B.A. from McGill University and a Bachelor of Journalism degree from Carleton but steadfastly maintains he was not harmed by either experience.
