Job Summary:
Sandhu Restaurant is seeking a skilled and motivate Cook to prepare and cook high-quality meals while maintaining food quality, presentation, and kitchen standards. The successful candidate will contribute to delivering an excellent dining experience in a fast-paced restaurant environment.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
Prepare and cook complete meals and individual dishes according to established recipes and standards
Prepare Indian and Italian cuisine
Ensure food quality, portion control, and presentation standards are maintained
Plan cooking schedules and coordinate food preparation activities Monitor inventory and assist with ordering food and kitchen supplies
Maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen and work areas
Ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation, and health regulations
Assist in menu development and suggest improvements when appropriate
Inspect kitchens and food service areas to maintain quality standards
Train and assist kitchen helpers and support staff as required
Requirements:
Completion of secondary school
Minimum 5 years of experience as a Indian cook
Experience preparing Indian cuisine is considered an asset
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
Strong teamwork and time-management skills
Language Requirement: English or French
