Baluchon Long-Term Respite is a recognized non-profit organization dedicated to supporting family caregivers of individuals living with illness, disability, or loss of autonomy. As our organization continues to grow, the Foundation is seeking a Senior Philanthropy Advisor to help expand and diversify our philanthropic revenue.

Reporting to the Executive Director, you will play a key role in identifying, cultivating, soliciting, and stewarding donors, corporations, foundations, and funding partners to support the expansion of our respite services throughout Quebec.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement the Foundation's annual philanthropic development plan.
  • Identify and pursue new funding opportunities with individuals, corporations, and foundations.
  • Lead donor cultivation and solicitation efforts and manage relationships with major donors.
  • Develop and coordinate fundraising campaigns.
  • Oversee the planning and execution of fundraising events and initiatives.
  • Select and implement a new donor management software system.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with donors and financial partners.
  • Support the Executive Director and Board of Directors in their philanthropic initiatives.
  • Establish performance indicators and monitor fundraising results.
  • Oversee the preparation of reports, analyses, and accountability documents related to fundraising activities.

Qualifications

  • University degree in a relevant field.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in philanthropy, fundraising, business development, or a related field.
  • Proven experience working with foundations, major donors, and institutional partners.
  • Knowledge of Prodon is considered an asset.
  • Excellent command of English and good working knowledge of French.
  • Strong relationship-building and solicitation skills.
  • Strategic mindset, self-motivation, and results-driven approach.
  • Established network within the philanthropic or anglophone business community is a significant asset.
