About the panelists:

Siegfried Tremblay | Business Development Manager, Futurpreneur

Siegfried Tremblay is a Business Development Manager for Futurpreneur. He has a background in International Commerce and has had companies in different fields. He currently provides early-stage financing, mentorship and other resources to help aspiring entrepreneurs age 18-39 launch successful businesses that contribute to sustainable economic development in their communities and for Canada.

 

 

 

Lynn McDonald | Regional Manager, Montreal, EVOL

Throughout her career, Ms. Lynn McDonald has assisted a number of companies from different sectors in their strategic planning, financing, and governance. She has worked mainly in the investment industry, notably as vice president of private placements, at the Caisse de dépôt et placement du Québec. During this period, she was a member of the Board of directors of some fifteen companies in Canada, the United States, and Europe. From 2014 to 2017, Ms. McDonald was a member of the Business Takeovers, Major Investments, and Equity Investments Committee of Capital régional et coopératif Desjardins, an investment fund with assets of approximately $ 2 billion. She holds a bachelor’s degree in finance from the University of Sherbrooke, an MBA from the University of Western Ontario, and the CFA and ICD.D designations. 

 

 

Omar Momtaz, Director of Innovation, PME 

An engineer by training, Omar Momtaz holds two master’s degrees in business administration and strategic negotiations. With over two decades of local and international experience, he has held various roles in consulting, marketing, and project management within renowned telecommunications operators and consulting firms.

Omar co-founded a tech start-up, giving him an immersive experience in Montreal’s innovation ecosystem. Convinced of the importance of fostering collaboration between innovative young companies and large corporations, he aspires to facilitate synergies between key players in digital innovation. Omar is certified by the Conseil de l’Innovation du Québec as Innovation Consultant, hence helps entrepreneurs navigate the entrepreneurship ecosystem in Quebec.

 

 

Guillaume de TillyDion, Vice-President, Relationship Management, RBC 

With 15 years of experience in nurturing new businesses, Guillaume de TillyDion is a seasoned economist with a passion for sales and business development. Known for their strategic insights and dedication to fostering innovation, he has been instrumental in guiding startups towards sustainable growth and success.

 

 

 

Fabiha Hassan, Account Manager, Virtual Business Centre, BDC   

Fabiha Hassan is an Account Manager for the Partnership Team in the Virtual Business Center at the Business Development Bank of Canada (BDC). She graduated from McGill University in May 2022 with a Double Major in Economics and International Development Studies, alongside a minor in Social Entrepreneurship. Fabina is passionate about helping entrepreneurs which is why she specifically works with our micro-clients ranging from Futurpreneur, the FACE coalition, and other underserved groups.
