Job Description:

Review and evaluate new administrative procedures, especially for the Sweater Knit Division.

Delegate work to office support staff.

Establish work priorities and ensure procedures are followed and deadlines are met for the Sweater Knit Division.

Carry out administrative activities of establishment related to yarn, dyeing, and knitting follow-up for the Sweater Knit Division.

Assist in the preparation of operating budget and maintain inventory and budgetary controls.

Assemble data and prepare periodic and special reports, manuals and correspondence.

Oversee and co-ordinate office administrative procedures.

May interview, hire and train new employees for the Sweater Knit Division.

Day to day communications with our Bangladesh Office – sub contractors – technical individuals.

Oversee that work orders are completed on time

Handle customer complaints and ensure timely resolution.

Oversee the logistics and distribution of clothing produced by the company in coordination with international suppliers.

Participate in meetings related to financial planning and marketing strategies.

Ensure that the company complies with established quality standards.

Maintain records of production orders, shipments, and supplier communications.

Prepare and review invoices, and shipping documents.

Liaise with suppliers, freight forwarders, and customs brokers to ensure smooth import/export processes.

Communicate with production facilities in Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, and India to monitor order progress.

Act as a point of contact between management, production teams, and international distributors.

Coordinate translation or documentation for international trade requirements.

Support audits or inspections related to quality or import/export regulations.

Prepare meeting agendas, minutes, and follow-up action plans for management.

Attend online meetings with suppliers, sometimes accommodating different time zones.

 

Requirements:

- Education: A university degree or college diploma in business, public administration or a related field is required.

- Experience: At least 2 years of experience related to office administration is required.

- Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Fast-paced environment, Work under pressure, Tight deadlines, Attention to detail, Repetitive tasks, Combination of sitting, standing, walking, Standing for extended periods.

- Personal Suitability: Excellent oral communication, Reliability, Flexibility, Organized, Excellent written communication, Effective interpersonal skills, Initiative, Client focus, Accurate, Judgement, Team player.

- Ability to supervise 3-4 people

- Business Equipment and Computer Applications: Microsoft Publisher, Electronic mail, Electronic scheduler, Spreadsheet, MS Outlook, MS Excel, Inventory control software, Accounting software, MS PowerPoint, MS Windows, MS Word, MS Office

-Special Requirements – Advanced knowledge of new yarn dyeing, knitting, linking, sweater auto-machine technology, design concepts, and European sweater yarn concepts is a strong asset.

- Commercial Banking knowledge such as Letter of Credit, international wire transfer and Customs Documentation is a strong asset.

- Languages: English is required. Bengali and Hindi are strong assets.

 

Salary: $36 hourly, 30-40 Hours per week.

Important Information:

The candidate will work 6-8 hours per day from Monday to Friday, between 9am to 5pm. Work on weekends; on-call or overtime may be required when production issues arise or when attending online meetings across different time zones.
