About the panelists:

Omar Momtaz, Director of Innovation, PME MTL

An engineer by training, Omar Momtaz holds two master’s degrees in business administration and strategic negotiations. With over two decades of local and international experience, he has held various roles in consulting, marketing, and project management within renowned telecommunications operators and consulting firms.

Omar co-founded a tech start-up, giving him an immersive experience in Montreal’s innovation ecosystem. Convinced of the importance of fostering collaboration between innovative young companies and large corporations, he aspires to facilitate synergies between key players in digital innovation. Omar is certified by the Conseil de l’Innovation du Québec as an Innovation Consultant, hence helping entrepreneurs navigate the entrepreneurship ecosystem in Quebec.

 

 

Guillaume de TillyDion, Vice-President, Relationship Management, RBC

With 15 years of experience in nurturing new businesses, Guillaume de TillyDion is a seasoned economist with a passion for sales and business development. Known for their strategic insights and dedication to fostering innovation, he has been instrumental in guiding startups towards sustainable growth and success.

 

 

Mila Peretrukhina, Business Development Manager, Futurpreneur

Passionate about empowering entrepreneurs, Mila Peretrukhina is a Business Development Manager at Futurpreneur, where she supports aspiring business owners through workshops, one-on-one guidance, and in-person events focused on financing and business planning.

With a background in media, sales, and a degree in Business Administration, she brings strong communication skills and real-world experience to her role. A former radio host, she excels at connecting with people and making a positive impact on the entrepreneurial journey. 

 

Concetta Farina, Account Manager, Virtual Bank, BDC

Concetta Farina is an experienced and dedicated Account Manager in the Virtual Business Centre (VBC) at the Business Development Bank (BDC). With a Bachelor of Commerce from the John Molson School of Business (2002), Concetta began her career in financial services in the private sector before joining BDC in 2009. 

She has held several key roles within BDC. For the past 4 years, Concetta has been instrumental in shaping the newly created VBC Connect team serving micro-clients across Canada. 

She continues to support entrepreneurs by offering tailored financing solutions and guidance through BDC’s digital platforms. She always emphasizes accessibility, responsiveness, and a human touch in virtual banking.
