Improve Your Networking Skills and Build Real Connections

If you’re ready to strengthen your outreach and elevate your professional presence, now is the perfect time to improve your networking skills and build real connections. This workshop is part of the two-part series Beyond the Job Hunt: Building Networks that Work, created to help you shift your mindset from job searching to building long-term, meaningful relationships that support your career growth.

Shift Your Focus from Job Searching to Relationship-Building

Networking becomes far more effective when it moves beyond short-term goals. This session invites you to expand your view of networking as an ongoing practice—one that thrives on consistency, authenticity, and intention. Rather than approaching networking as a transactional exchange, you’ll learn how to cultivate supportive professional relationships that develop over time.

Workshop 2 explores practical ways to track your outreach, maintain contact after events, and stay actively engaged across platforms.
You’ll also learn habits and tools that help you stay organized, follow up with confidence, and keep your connections warm.
By applying these systems, you’ll be better equipped to improve your networking skills and build real connections that last throughout your career.

Workshop 2: Professional Relationship Momentum — Tracking, Following Up, and Staying Genuine

Session Date: Monday, March 23, 12:00pm–1:30pm

In this session, you’ll learn to create a sustainable flow in your networking efforts by exploring simple, achievable systems for staying in touch. From follow-up timing to maintaining consistency across conversations, you’ll discover practical strategies that help you stay visible and memorable in your professional community.

If you’ve ever wondered how to keep a contact warm, when to reconnect, or how to balance multiple connections without feeling overwhelmed, this workshop will give you the tools you need. Through concrete examples and adaptable templates, you’ll gain clarity and confidence in building meaningful career relationships over time.
