YES Employment + Entrepreneurship, a leading non-profit organization based in Montreal, Quebec, today announced the upcoming retirement of Aki Tchitacov, the organization’s Executive Director, effective April 30th.
YES Employment + Entrepreneurship (YES) is dedicated to empowering individuals through employment and entrepreneurship. For over 25 years, YES has been a cornerstone of the community, providing essential services and support to job seekers, entrepreneurs, and artists to stay and thrive in Quebec.
Aki Tchitacov has served as Executive Director for close to six years, during which time he has made significant contributions to the organization’s growth and success. Under his leadership, YES has achieved numerous milestones, including:
- Celebrating the organization’s 25th anniversary
- Building the Provincial Employment Roundtable (PERT)
- Demonstrated pandemic agility through diversified service delivery
In 2023-24:
- 80% of Employment Clients found employment or returned to school
- 2,726 Jobseekers, Artists, and Entrepreneurs were served
- 542 Businesses were started or grown with YES’ assistance
- 14,891 Services were delivered
- 6,346 Workshop attendees
- 639 Workshops were delivered
- 341 Volunteers supported YES
In his retirement announcement, Aki expressed gratitude for the opportunity to serve as Executive Director and reflected on the team’s accomplishments during his tenure. He also expressed confidence in the organization’s continued success under the leadership of Mario Clarke, who will serve as Interim Executive Director.
The Board of Directors has commenced a search for Aki Tchitacov’s replacement and is committed to finding a leader who will build on the organization’s achievements and guide it into the future.
