Gender-Based Analysis: Québec Technology Sector
Released in January 2013, this research report presents a gender-based analysis specific to women in the technology sector in Québec. The paper identifies barriers and opportunities for women in technology, makes recommendations to address these barriers, and creates an evaluation tool to measure changes in the industry over a three-year timeframe (2013-2015).

This research study identifies the key barriers and opportunities that English-speaking newcomers face when launching or planning to launch small to medium enterprises (SMEs) in Quebec. The information gathered by this study is intended to assist policy makers and entrepreneurship service providers in supporting newcomers (recent immigrants who arrived in the past five years) in the creation and growth of SMEs, leading to a stronger entrepreneurial society and economy in Quebec.
