Next Up in Our 30 Faces of YES: Rosi Maria Di Meglio
When Rosi Maria turned to YES in 2020, she was a newly graduated visual artist eager to find guidance, structure, and a community of like-minded creatives. Having completed a double bachelor’s degree in fine arts at Concordia University —majoring in Painting/Drawing and Art Education— she was motivated to build a sustainable professional practice but sought practical support to navigate the transition from student to working artist. Through YES’s coaching and workshops, she found the structure, confidence, and encouragement she needed to clarify her goals and move forward with intention.
Today, Rosi Maria is an active professional artist, creating and exhibiting work that reflects her distinct creative voice. Her practice has taken her to exhibitions, international art fairs, and artist residencies in Canada and abroad, and her work now resides in private collections. She continues to receive grants to support her practice and actively works to empower other visual artists through collective studio spaces. A defining moment in her journey was receiving her first Canada Council for the Arts grant, a significant milestone that marked her entry into the broader art world and affirmed her place within it.
