Organizations serving Quebec’s English-speaking minority communities (OLMCs) and delivering employment assistance services may be eligible to apply.
The Community Opportunity Fund, led by YES Employment + Entrepreneurship and funded by the Government of Canada, supports community organizations delivering employment assistance services across Quebec.
Who Can Apply:
Not-for-profit and registered charity organizations
Social enterprises delivering non-commercial employment services
Community-based organizations serving English-speaking minority communities
Indigenous organizations where English is the first official language
About the Fund
The Community Opportunity Fund supports organizations that deliver employment assistance services to Quebec’s English-speaking minority communities (OLMCs). Funding is available for projects that help job seekers improve job-readiness, access services in their first official language, and connect to employment opportunities.
Eligibility
Eligible applicants include:
- Non-profit organizations
- Social enterprises delivering non-commercial employment services
- Community organizations serving English-speaking minority communities
- Indigenous organizations serving communities where English is the first official language
Important: Organizations requiring authorization under Quebec’s M-30 legislation are not eligible for this fund.
Eligible Activities
To qualify, projects must include at least one eligible employment support activity, such as:
- Job search assistance (CV workshops, interview preparation)
- One-on-one counselling or case management
- Unassisted services (job boards, information sessions)
- Wraparound supports (mentorship, referrals, job retention)
