About the speaker

Maria DurantMaria Durant has over 15 years of experience as a bookkeeper, which has led her to work with many notable businesses throughout Montreal, the US, and internationally. Maria Durant, who owns and operates her own small business, has shown that a thorough bookkeeping system is essential for the success of any business. Along with her role as an entrepreneur and bookkeeper, Maria Durant is also a vocational accounting teacher.

Through her commitment to teaching, she has been able to leverage her experience as a bookkeeper and provide students with the hands-on approach they need to be successful in the accounting program.

In addition to raising her children, Maria Durant studies part-time at the University of Sherbrooke, where she plans to earn a bachelor’s degree in Professional Education.
