Description

Creative Cart Solutions is a digital agency specializing in eCommerce development, website management, platform migrations, and technical integrations.

We work with established B2B and B2C businesses across North America, helping them build, maintain, and improve their websites using platforms such as Magento, Shopify, WooCommerce, WordPress, and BigCommerce.

We're looking for an experienced Technical Project Manager who can take ownership of client relationships and oversee projects from initial requirements through delivery.

About the Role

This isn't a traditional project management position where your primary responsibility is updating task boards and following up on deadlines.

We're looking for someone who can independently manage clients, understand their business needs, translate requirements into actionable development tasks, and ensure work gets completed.

You'll serve as the primary point of contact for several clients, working directly with our development team to manage ongoing website maintenance, improvements, and larger development projects.

You don't need to be a programmer, but you must understand web development well enough to hold meaningful technical conversations, evaluate requirements, and communicate confidently with clients.

Most importantly, you should be comfortable making decisions independently without requiring constant supervision.

Key Responsibilities

Client Relationship Management

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned clients.
  • Lead client meetings, gather requirements, and discuss project progress.
  • Build strong relationships and manage client expectations.
  • Handle client questions, concerns, and difficult conversations professionally.
  • Proactively identify potential issues and recommend solutions.

Project & Delivery Management

  • Translate client requirements into clear, actionable tasks for developers.
  • Coordinate work across designers, developers, and other team members.
  • Manage project schedules, priorities, budgets, and deliverables.
  • Review completed work against requirements before presenting it to clients.
  • Track progress and ensure projects move forward without unnecessary delays.
  • Identify scope changes and communicate their impact on timelines and budgets.

Technical Coordination

  • Understand website architecture, eCommerce functionality, and common web technologies.
  • Discuss technical requirements with developers and help determine implementation approaches.
  • Review estimates and identify missing requirements or technical dependencies.
  • Coordinate integrations involving payment gateways, ERP/CRM systems, APIs, and third-party applications.
  • Troubleshoot client-reported issues and work with developers to determine next steps.

Required Qualifications

  • 1+ years of experience managing website development or eCommerce projects.
  • Previous experience working at a digital agency or managing multiple client accounts.
  • Strong understanding of WordPress, WooCommerce, Shopify, Magento, or similar platforms.
  • Ability to understand technical concepts without necessarily writing code.
  • Excellent spoken and written English.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate confidently with non-technical clients.
  • Experience translating business requirements into technical specifications or development tickets.
  • Proven ability to manage remote development teams.
  • Excellent judgment, organizational skills, and problem-solving ability.
  • Ability to work independently, take initiative, and make sound decisions.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with Magento 2, Shopify Plus, and WooCommerce.
  • Familiarity with PHP, JavaScript, HTML/CSS, hosting, DNS, and website performance.
  • Experience coordinating ERP, CRM, and API integrations.
  • Familiarity with HubSpot, Odoo, NetSuite, or similar business systems.
  • Experience with ongoing website support and maintenance retainers.

Who We're Looking For

You're a strong communicator who happens to understand technology.

You enjoy working with clients, solving problems, and getting things done. You know when to ask questions, when to push back, and when to involve a technical specialist.

You're equally comfortable discussing business requirements with a client and explaining those requirements to a developer.

You can manage several clients simultaneously without losing track of details, and you don't need someone checking in with you throughout the day.

We're looking for someone who takes ownership, not someone who simply manages a task list.

What We Offer

  • Flexible remote working arrangement.
  • Direct client ownership and meaningful decision-making responsibility.
  • Opportunity to work on a variety of eCommerce and web development projects.
  • Established clients and an experienced development team.
  • Long-term collaboration with the opportunity to grow into a broader delivery leadership role.
Only registered members can apply for jobs.
