At K&K Tool ltd., we design and manufacture molds for plastic injection and custom industrial equipment. Every project is unique and requires precision, coordination, and rigor. We are looking for a Production Planner who wants to play a central role in our operations and make a tangible impact on shop performance.
The Role
You are responsible for planning and monitoring manufacturing projects to meet deadlines, optimize resources, and ensure smooth communication between design, purchasing, and production. You are at the heart of operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze technical drawings and prepare machining process plans
- Create and manage workflows in our ERP system (TSTracker)
- Collaborate with the design team, shop foreman, and machinists to optimize execution and machining performance
- Work with the estimating team to improve the accuracy of quotes and planned production times
- Plan machining operations based on priorities and machine capacity
- Estimate production times and validate delivery dates
- Ensure material availability in collaboration with the purchasing department
Desired Profile
- Experience in production planning within a manufacturing environment
- Strong understanding of machining processes
- Experience in plastic injection mold manufacturing (an asset)
- Ability to read technical drawings
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office; ERP system knowledge is an asset
- Team-oriented with strong flexibility and adaptability
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage priorities and frequent changes
