Samantha Bateman takes the helm of the YES Board

As YES heads into its 26th year of service, a new Board President has taken the lead. Samantha Bateman, a longtime YES volunteer and a leader in talent acquisition, was voted into the role at our AGM last month.

Passionate about building inclusive communities and recruitment practices, Samantha has her finger on the pulse of Quebec’s employment and entrepreneurial landscape. Welcome aboard, Samantha!

Nathon Kong of Nathon Kong label and Bonnie Robinson of Anjali Devi Advisory and Angelcare were also elected to join the board at the AGM. Both Nathon and Bonnie have been active in supporting YES over the years and we are looking forward to having their wealth of experience on our side in this new capacity.

Of course, the election of any new members means that others have stepped away from their roles. After 5 years of valued and impactful service, Doris Juergens stepped down as Board Chair, but we are happy to report she will remain a volunteer with YES. Also stepping down are longtime board members Cindy Fagen, Gavin Correa, and Cherine Zananiri. We are so thankful for all of the work each of these members have put into our organization, and we look forward to continuing to work with them all in different volunteer capacities.
