Production Machine Operator

-Job Opportunity: Machine Operator (Pay: $18-19 per hour)

We are looking to fill a 2nd shift position with competitive pay of $18-19 per hour.

Key Responsibilities:

• Can read blueprints, use precise measuring instruments and do setup on plate saw/ band saw.
• Inspect, verify, and pull products before processing.
• Set up equipment in accordance with setup note specifications.
• Follow work order instructions to process setup notes.
• Ensure product specifications match setup notes and record measurements per sampling plan.
• Perform preventative maintenance on equipment and general cleanup duties.
• Correctly enter or delete material identification tags as per instructions.
• Assist with packaging of materials based on work order instructions.
• Maintain issued measurement equipment in proper working order.
• Identify, document, and segregate scrap or non-conforming materials.
• Provide feedback on machine performance and product quality.
• Ensure all tasks are completed safely and in compliance with safety guidelines.
• Train others as needed.
• Participate in lean manufacturing and quality improvement activities.
• This role involves working on the warehouse floor near heavy machinery.

Qualifications:

Minimum Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED.
• Ability to read, write, and perform basic math.
• Capable of lifting and carrying up to 40 lbs.
• Strong focus on safety.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous warehouse experience, especially in the metals industry.
• Familiarity with handheld measuring tools.
• Basic computer skills.
