Founded in 1979, Nazareth Community is a not-for-profit organization that provides
housing and support services for individuals who have struggled with homelessness, mental
health issues, addictions and PTSD. Our goal is to mitigate long-term homelessness in a
non-judgmental and non-denominational environment centered on the client.
A bilingual (English and French) self-starter, you are a college or university graduate with a
background in social services who understands the needs of our clientele and respects the
privacy and integrity of individuals living in precarious circumstances. Your previous
relevant experience and demonstrated professional judgment will be keys to success in this
fundamental role in our community.
Reporting to the Senior Intervention team, you will be responsible for the following:
Hourly wage: $21.43-$24.80
Salary range for this position varies on qualifications and relevant experience.
Responsibilities:
- Follow up and encourage client initiatives to foster self-autonomy and independence
- Capable of completing client records, daily activity logs, and other reports as directed.
- Medication distribution
- Open and close the residence
- Assist with programs and field trips
- Community Outreach
As this is a permanent position within our community, the incumbent will be eligible for a
range of benefits including, 10 statutory days, 5 sick days, trainings in mental health,
parking. Following three-month employment staff receive health insurance.
