Founded in 1995, YES Employment + Entrepreneurship is a non-profit community-based organization dedicated to enriching the community by providing English-language support services to help Quebecers find employment and start and grow businesses.
Position Summary
Reporting directly to the Director of Communications and Stakeholder Engagement, the ideal candidate possesses excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and a strong desire to learn about and develop skills pertaining to research, compiling data and presenting findings in a clear and concise manner. They must be organized, creative and able to thrive in a fastpaced environment. Be comfortable working in a team or alone - which will highlight their excellent time management skills. Previous experience or a keen interest in community development and being at ease and feeling confident in their presentation (visual not necessarily spoken) skills will be considered an asset as will being bilingual.
Responsibilities will include:
Assist in research projects and campaigns related to the economic support ecosystem in Quebec:
mapping economic support systems, and
completing a competitive analysis of economic services available in Quebec.
Assist in market research and assessment:
conduct outreach and assist in client surveys,
market analysis,
survey of community stakeholders
Assist in the development of a community stakeholder map
Help identify service gaps.
Provide marketing and administrative support by taking minutes, updating spreadsheets, and creating weekly and monthly calendars.
When needed greet clients at the YES reception desk and advise them of services available at YES and in the community, direct individuals to appropriate resources.
Ad hoc projects and/or administrative tasks may be assigned as time permits that will complement the Employee’s professional interests, strengths, and goals.
Knowledge, Skills and Qualifications
Must be a student returning to school in September 2023, to complete their degree in business, statistics, political science or a related field
Strong administrative skills
A solid working knowledge of Microsoft Office (including Word, Excel and PowerPoint) Digitally savvy … CRM/database management

Compensation: $17.25/hr
