Gillenwater is a tech startup founder who successfully built\, scaled and sold Boardroom Insiders for $25 million in 2022. Today\, her mission is to demystify what it takes to build\, scale and sell a successful tech startup\, making entrepreneurial success more accessible to all. \nThe first in her family to go to college\, Sharon discovered her love of business at age 30\, and integrated herself into the tech and marketing world in San Francisco. Her first job in San Francisco was working in sales at a startup. She then went on to found a company specializing in email newsletters ahead of the 2001 dot com bust. After that venture failed\, Sharon became an independent consultant and developed a successful business working for major tech companies including EMC\, IBM\, VMware\, RSA\, Symantec\, Cisco\, Microsoft\, NetApp\, VMware\, Adobe\, Oracle\, Sun Microsystems\, Siebel Systems\, and Google. \nIn 2008 at the age of 43\, Sharon founded Boardroom Insiders by identifying a universal need among her consulting clients\, and evolving her consulting services into a digital\, self-service product. She recruited a partner to join her in 2011\, and scaled the startup into a company that she sold in early 2022 for $25 million to Euromoney (now Altrata). Under Sharon’s leadership\, Boardroom Insiders was named to the Inc. 5000\, the 5\,000 fastest-growing private companies in the U.S. based on their revenue growth rate. \nSharon now consults as a SaaS startup advisor\, as a mentor and coach for aspiring tech entrepreneurs\, is a professional speaker\, and has become a successful content creator with an audience of more than 30K people across platforms.  Sharon lives in San Francisco with her husband and pets. She is a mother of two adult children. SUMMARY:How To Curate Your Own Exhibition
DESCRIPTION:As an artist\, hosting your own exhibition can be one of the most rewarding\, yet equally challenging things you can do! From start to finish\, it requires careful planning\, due diligence\, collaboration\, and a great deal of creativity!\nSign Up Today!\nThis workshop is designed to guide you through the ins and outs of the various steps that go into the successful planning and execution of an exhibition! Moreover\, it will provide those in attendance with gallery or cultural space perspective. You’ll learn what these stakeholders are looking for\, how to speak their language\, and how to break through and stand out compared to your peers when seeking the coveted space needed to host an expo! \nJoin us to gain the knowledge and strategies required to make your exhibition a standout success! \nSpeaker: Cassandre Brillant | Director\, Espace Louable \nAbout the speaker:\nAs the youngest of an artist family\, Cassandre awakened to the world of creation by observing her father’s sculptures and growing up surrounded by art in her mother’s gallery. Artistic expression played a significant role in shaping her identity. It is through this influence that the designer came to interpret clothing as a textile sculpture that encompasses the body\, transforming it into an object of art. \nFor the past 5 years\, La fille de Priam has been exploring the relationship between Art and Fashion. Through conceptual collections\, exhibitions\, and happenings\, this creative House pushes the boundaries of garment presentation. From performance to art installations\, the designer\, Cassandre Brillant\, uses unconventional materials such as silicone and plaster and dissects the garment through various techniques. \nThe House invests in Ateliers Jean Brillant and launches a non-place – the loüable space. Between a café\, gallery\, and showroom\, La fille de Priam aims to merge artistic spheres and revolutionize Montreal’s fashion scene. Inviting artists to showcase their artistic processes and immersing visitors in ephemeral installations. \nPre-registration is required. \nTransform your art business today and sign up for only $20.00* \nSign Up Today!\nThis workshop is available in-person at Espace Louable\, 3524 Rue Saint-Jacques\, Montreal. \nThis low registration fee is only possible thanks to our generous funders and partners.
