Entrepreneurship Speaker Series | Transforming Barriers into Success: Stories of Women Entrepreneurs
November 18 @ 6:00 pm - 7:45 pmFree
The YES Entrepreneurship Speaker Series is an event series that explores the diverse challenges faced by entrepreneurs and gives insight on how to overcome them.
In our next event, Transforming Barriers to Success: Stories of Women Entrepreneurs, on November 18th – the eve of Women’s Entrepreneurship Day – we are excited to invite you to dive into the minds of four inspiring businesswomen.
Join this panel of diverse entrepreneurs and take part in their candid discussion about their experiences here in Quebec. From creating a pro-diversity movement to elevating indigenous women’s voices to being a woman in leadership and visible minority in a tech start-up, you’ll hear diverse perspectives of how each of these women overcame barriers in their professional fields and how they transformed their unique challenges into fruitful opportunities.
These conversations will also explore the myriad of new issues affecting women entrepreneurs today and how the landscape has been changing.
Emceed by Chloe Freslon, an entrepreneur focused on equity, diversity and inclusion in the entrepreneurial landscape, and the Founder & President of URelles, the event will be led by Mary-Anne Carignan, President of Purkinje, Azadeh Dastmalchi, Top 25 Women of Influence recipient 2021 and CEO of VitalTracer, and Devon Fiddler, Founder & Chief of Changemaker and SheNative Goods Inc.
