Member of Parliament Marc Miller announces government funding towards creating job opportunities for youth in Montreal 2017-05-24

YES hosted a press conference today with Marc Miller, Member of Parliament for Ville-Marie—Le Sud-Ouest—Île-des-Soeurs. Mr. Miller made an announcement on behalf of the Honourable Patty Hajdu, Minister of Employment, Workforce Development and Labour regarding a new initiative called Skills Link, a project which will be delivered by YES that will help English speaking youth enter the labour market. Participants will be supported throughout the program to ensure retention and will learn sustainable skills that will help them succeed in gaining and retaining employment. The new program will launch on July 17, 2017, and more information will be made available shortly, including application forms and a full list of criteria.
